Recent changes to the US Government's Export Regulations governing cryptographic software
have made Bokler Software's DEScipher, TDEScipher and HASHcipher products available to all
non-government end users in most countries of the world. This is the result of policy changes announced by the US
Government on September 16, 1999 (and in 1998).
Consult Bokler Software's ExportAdviser™ above for specific details for your
country, but the following general rules apply:
- we can ship DEScipher products with no
"end-use" restrictions anywhere in the world except the following countries:
India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Cuba, N. Korea
- we can now ship TDEScipher
& RDEScipher products to most users in most
countries - any commercial or private end-use is now permitted (see ExportAdviser™
above for details).
- shipments of TDEScipher for "government
end-uses" will require a special one-time export license; please contact us for details
- we can ship HASHcipher products anywhere in
the world - no licensing is required

Developers, please NOTE:
While the changes to the export regulations have made it easier to export applications
developed using Bokler Software's encryption tools, you must be aware of your obligations
and that some restrictions still apply. A good place to start is by reading the Commerce
Dept's. Export
Control Basics (Exporting 101). You must also be aware that Bokler
Software's export licenses do not automatically allow you to export your
applications, or
to re-export/divert the product from your country. If you wish to export an application
that uses DEScipher, TDEScipher or RDEScipher, you must still comply with the US Government's
Export Administration Regulations
to do so legally. Please consult the Commerce Dept's. Bureau of
Industry & Security (formerly known as Bureau of Export Administration) website if
you have questions regarding export regulations governing cryptographic software. |
